Helsinki, Finland

I currently am planing my trip to Australia, 6 to 8 months between Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane, among others. Meanwhile, I love to look at my pictures of my last travels. Here are the one about Helsinki. I went to Helsinki during a cruise to Stockholm, Tallin, St petersburg and Helsinki.

Pretty traditional foods and stuffs at the market in the main place of Helsinki.

The Helsinki cathedral, also know as the Helsingin tuomiokirkkoSuurkirkk, is such a beauty. It's an evangelical lutheran cathedral, looks so sober and pure. Everything's white without artifices. My favorite in the city.
We went back to the market where we ate those feasts for not even 7€ (which was "expensive" for us after the russian and estonian meals we had for not only 3€ ahah). This is a salmon soup, with potatos, leek and dill called "Lohikeitto". As well as a bowl of fried fish called Vendace with the traditional finish sauce.

Saint Petersburg, Russia

I was looking at the pictures on my laptop when I found the folder about my cruise from Stockholm to Tallin, St Petersburg and Helsinki. I did it in April 2014, with The St Peter. Line. It was one of my biggest dream to go in Russia, and being in Sweden was a good oportunity as I was closer to the country. I did the cruise with 2 of my friends, and it cost us around 200€ in total.

In St petersburg, e first stopped at St Isaac cathedral, a lovely typical Russian cathedral, unfortunatly it was closed. We kept going on the main street of the city, where you can find a lot of international brands, as well as typical Russian fur store, and touristic, souvenirs ones.

Everyone knows Anastasia here, right ? We went to her palace, oh my lord, it is so amazing, and big and unreal! The following picture is the entrance of the Hermitage Museum and the second one is the museum itself. This is one of the world's biggest museum, it will take at least two day to visit everything, as we did not have the time, we only went in the yard. There are a lot of different prices to enter the museum, to enter the whole musuem it cost 500 roubles, a lot of reduced prices as well, and free entrance for students.

After the Hermitage, I really really wanted to go to the Church of our savior on spilled blood, AKA the Icrecream Church. If I remember well, the entrance costs something around 6€. I was so astonish inside the church, it's something crazy, really Russian I guess, big and without limits.

Finally, we stopped in a lovely restaurant near the icecream church, and we wanna absolutly try typical russian foods. Here we are, first course : three shots of vodka w/bread and I-don't-know-what-but-delicious; main course: borch soup which is composed of beetroot, beef and cream (kinda). And finally a Kissel. All this food for not even 5€ ! I told you, Heaven!

SANDHAMN

Hey Folks,
Today I am talking about my trip in Sandhamn (litteraly the harbour of sand). You can reach this island from Stockholm by boat, which will cost you 300:- for the round trip (around 35€).

There are storys of ghosts and murders in the Island. Even a movie was made about it. When you get off the boat, it is like being in the little harbour with a "city" next to it. But actually, not a all, there is only few summer houses, and then the forest. Take time to get lost there, you will find private beaches, big villas and incredible views. I felt free in this island, even though it is a little one, I don't know you fell like nothing can reach you. Except helicopters and big yatchs, because yes, during summer a lot of people are going there so I thing it is a completly different atmosphere than in May (when i've been there) .

On the way back to Stockholm, you will pass by the amusement park "Gröna lund", 30 different rides, concerts and so on. I've never been there, but from outside it looks so cute *_*
